Python asinh – Find Hyperbolic Arcsine of Number Using math.asinh()

To find the hyperbolic arcsine of a number, we can use the Python asinh() function from the math module.

import math

math.asinh(x)

In Python, we can easily use trigonometric functions with the Python math module. The Python math module allows us to perform trigonometry easily and in addition to regular trigonometry, we have access to the hyperbolic trigonometry functions.

With the Python math module, we can find the hyperbolic arcsine of a number easily.

To find the hyperbolic arcsine of a number, we can use the Python asinh() function from the math module.

Below is the Python syntax to find the hyperbolic arcsine of a number.

import math

math.asinh(x)

The input to the asinh() function must be a numeric value. The return value will be a numeric value.

import math

print(math.asinh(10))
print(math.asinh(0))
print(math.asinh(-5.32))

#Output: 
2.99822295029797
0.0
-2.3733388650599814

Finding the Inverse Hyperbolic Sine of a Number in Python

The Python math module also provides us trigonometric functions to find the inverses of the common trigonometric functions. The asinh() function allows us to find the inverse of the hyperbolic sine of a number.

Below, we show that if we pass a number to sinh() and then call the Python asinh() function, we get back the same number.

import math

print(math.asinh(math.sinh(100)))

#Output: 
100.0
